Absolutely busy week with guiding and I have enjoyed a lot. It has been really nice be guiding. July was extremely slow because high temperatures and so on. And I have always like guiding and fishingnon August. On my book it is still best month in here.
June is great fishing time also, yet guiding is slow as people are not having holidays yet. July is gamble with temps and there are lot of fishermen around. August... waters always cools down, nights get darker and Finnish people returns to work etc. Time to you come fishing here, still great hatches and good fishing.
Sunday I guided group of older Danish gentelmen, nice group and okay fishing. Weather was chilly and wind turned to north. We still landed some nice fishes and some over 35 and even over 40 cm. As they were not so use to wade bigger river, I walked them in good spot and back.
Monday Swiss group, nice people, two older guy and two my age. Good half day fishing and nice time. So good that one of them booked me for full day for Wednesday.
We had nice chat. I younger has been travelling a lot to fish places. In some point it came up that I have been fishing in Malaysia and he asked what lake, giving two right options. Then talked about snakehead fishing as he had done that in Thailand and Malaysia.
He asked that what kind on lure, I used when spinning fishing. I watched him and asked... Are you stupid or something?
Everyone started to laugh and this guy said, ou you are puritinist. Nope I'm not puritinist, I just don't like spinning fishing.
Just like I think nymphing is masturbation. That FP I sent to him before he arrived to Finland as he was planning to take euro nymphing rod with him. After that I had to tell him really take it with as forecast was tricky foe this week.
Ww had great fishing day on Wednesday with him. He caught some nice graylings, and also pike even he didn't make many efforts on that. Absolutely great day. Later we checked one spot, I have had great fishing on that one always. I told him to nymph as it is little faster water surrounded really fast water. He caught one fish and few bites. Then he broke the rig and I told him rebuilt as it holds more fish.
I made few cast while he was building rig. I got two up and some rises. yep, bad guide fishing customers spot afterwards with dry fly and caught fish.
Well if you masturbate on front of me, you deserve it. Besides he could be also stupid or something. We had great finish for trip when he fished (nymphs) few spot and he got some really nice fish.
Thursday I had people on our lake, great day and best part was when 5yrs old girl got rainbow trout. Now making silage from last field. Saturday some guiding to fishing travel agencies and then we head to Sweden with Satu. No bikes with us as it is only few day trip and plenty of water even without bikes. And we don't have yet holder for those in our car.
