Last weekend I was doing second round silage. There was enough nice weather to do it. I have now only one field left which is about 2 hectares. Then we should have all we need for wintertime to feed reindeers. Nights have been colder and some rain also.
So water temperatures are around 16 celsius, yet water levels are still low as we had long drier season. All this happened on right time, I'm quite busy with guiding now as I have group on Thursday and Friday, and option on Saturday also, but I don't think they will use it as it is monsoon rain day, it could be close to 40 mm during the day.
Sunday I will be guiding Danish gentlemen and Monday Swiss group. It is nice to be guiding again, even it is not easiest circumstances. Kuusinki river still has some colour.
Thursday we caught some fish, and guests were happy, I have been guiding them now 5 or 6 years in row. They have this one trip per year, it is some fishing, some drinks and good food, good time and some business. Fishing is just reason to get out from office and enjoy.
I always try to prepare for them nice outdoor lunch. This time it was reindeer burgers. After lunch session is always less fishing on first day as we have campfire and some nice chat. I have always enjoyed guiding them and also they are great people.
All of them get slowly better even they don't flyfish regularly, yet they remember something from past. I have one rod all the time ready at farm, it is one I use for teaching and guests use it now and then. It is great to have set ready so I can now and then play around just little at least.
Now it is time to go bed, early Friday morning to make lunch package and then guiding. It is awesome to be back on the river.
Have a great weekend and go fishing
Mika
