This week, we’ve been mainly focused on family and food. We’ve been spending time with close relatives that we haven’t seen much of during the last couple of years. So instead of fishing and casting, we’ve been cooking and baking so we can entertain at home rather than going out. It’s been busy, but lovely to catch up with everyone. We’re hoping next year, we can start travelling abroad again and catch up with our fishy friends that we haven’t seen for a few years also.
We still have more family gatherings to attend over this weekend, though thankfully we’re not doing the cooking this time. If you’re spending time with family or friends, then we hope you have a lovely time, if you manage to go fishing, then tight-lines.
Next week we will start with our preparation for the WorldChampionships that will be held in Norway in August 2022. I’m hoping James and others will announce some virtual casting competitions that make casting practice more fun, andalso help with developing technique. I think due to the recent wet weather in Wales, I haven’t been casting much, so I will be a little rusty with my distance casting. I was hoping that we might be able to go fishing next week too, though the weather forecast may not be kind to us, so maybe not. We might be doing some walking in waders along the river bank instead, with a rod in hand of course, just in case. I still need to practice with my new camera, so whether we go fishing or casting, the next front page will contain the resultant photos.
Merry Christmas everyone and we wish you all a Happy New Year, hopefully with less restrictions than the last couple of years,
Cheers,
Tracy
