Now and then you really hope that you would own one, magical crystal ball which would give answers for everything. If you are planning fishing trip as long term, like on next summer. You would like to know how weather is and if how fishing will be etc. And especially if you are talking this with someone who doesn’t understand so much about fishing.
During this summer I have had this kind of problems. I have had few contacts concerning about fishing on next summer. First question is always when is best time to come. This is funny question, best time for fishing is always when you are allowed. Most of the time this question is made by travel agency or someone who doesn’t know anything about fishing, and is organizing trip. This will normally lead that same questions are made with same answers over and over again before booking.
Then it is water level. Something which is quite impossible to predict. There is some weeks when you know allready that it might be low but otherwise, only winter will tell with summer. This is something you don’t need to know not until little bit before trip, just to know if you need to go deep or not. Weather goes in same category.
Anything about flies and that kind of questions are good ones. You can have answers and it is helping you to get ready for your trip. Water level, weather and those things are something you can’t do anything about and neither can your guide. Your guide can find best possible fishing when difficult conditions. Don’t ever doubt that.
Back to crystal ball. If you would have one, you would never need guide. If your guide would have one, he would have answers to all the questions. As far no-one has that magical ball we need to go like this. You make silly questions and you will get little bit round answers from your guide. When you meet your guide and go fishing then everyone will get answers. That is called fishing.
