Is this just some sort of ill-advised effort founded in denial? I don’t believe so.
While I certainly feel that it is vitally important to speak up for what you believe in, and participate in the democratic process in a constructive way (please read my last two FPs if you haven’t already), I also believe that it is vitally important to retain those elements of our lives that we truly enjoy; those that bring us happiness, peace, and allow us each to recharge our own internal batteries.
So, this week’s FP and POD serve that objective. A break from any of the BS you might be fretting about. A reminder to all my friends and fellow Sexyloopers to keep on doing and enjoying what you love. Get out there and try to find what you are looking for. If you find it, great! If you don’t, you will probably find something else even better and more surprising than what you were originally looking for.
Henry David Thoreau supposedly said, “Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.”
Well, I do know that sometimes it is fish that I am after, but the best part of it all is quite often something that I didn’t even know existed before I found it. So until next time, get out there and just keep looking for fish, and maybe you’ll find yourself a bit of happiness too.
Take Care and Fish On,
PS – Special thanks to my friend Josh Moore for today’s POD. NZ is truly a great place to go looking for stuff.
