Facebook reminded me that it is exactly 5 years from my first frontpage in sexyloops. It has been blast and hope to keep it that way. Sexyloops turned 25 yrs recently and there have been some posts about that. Paul has made great work around everything and yet in the end... We fishermen and women, caster and readers are the Sexyloops. We just need to have yedi to teach us.
This week has been... well it has been. I haven't been fishing or even casting, lot of work to do at the farm and around. Our volunteers from France got chicken house ready and on Monday we went to pick up 5 hens and cock with Satu. We are renewing fences at the same time and reindeer round-up are starting this week.
Fishing our lake has been quite good, Thomas has made few trips there and hopefully I can make one in coming days. Planning to have maybe short river fishing also if weather is clearing up and rain will stop. Forecast is that it will cool down and clear so there is change for some nice dry fly fishing still. Winter is just behind corner anyway.
Back to hens and cock. Hens are brown and we could select between two rooster. Another one was brown and other was light coloured, grizzly you could say. So how we decided which cock we gonna take...?
That was easy decision. I said to Satu that we take light coloured, because when it is time to make Coq au Vin after some years..... Neck will be perfect for flies. Of course it was more cooler looking than brown one, main reason was still that I can use feathers for tying flies.
So what we do here.... we make decisions based on how we can use everything as much as possible and not have waste. We have five brown hens and when it comes time for them, everything goes to use. Until that just keep egging, and we have our breakfast.
