Just before another season

Just before another season

Winter season kicks off this weekend. First 4 week Spanish and then 3 months Germans. It looks like busy winter. I truly hope good one. My thoughts are going often our planned trip on next May. I really want to make it happen, now it is not that we won't have time, just have to get money!!!

So we are doing last preparation for winter season, checking sleighs that everything is okay, training boys and doing reindeer work at same time. And also I have to do snow work now and then. Today we check nails from boys and if they had long ones, we shortened those. It is easier to pull sleigh when everything is ok.

Last year on this time I was worried about if we get snow enough. Now that is not the issue, but it has been and will be cold. It has between -8 to -22 celsius (17 to -7 F). We will be okay but I'm little bit concerned about guests, they are not used to this cold and clothing... well I think to know better than us.

Last week there has been meme going around about people buying expensive rods versus casting lessons. It is same with clothing, you might have good warm clothes but if you don't know how to use them.... well those are not even worth of shit.

Yes, expensive gears or clothes will help, yet you really should know how to use them. And yes cheap ones will do the same until certain point, still you have to know how to use those.

I have been fucking lazy few weeks and I start be angry to myself. I have great reason for not practicing my casting and still it is just excuse in the end. I really have to get a grip and do some training every week starting from now. I hope to find hall or something like that where training would be more humane, forecast is that temperature can drop close -30 celsius (-22 F).

Cars are made for driving, rods are made fishing and casting. It doesn't matter cheap or expensive one, learn to use them.... it is much more fun that way.

Have a nice weekend and go out!
