Life in a Condom

Life in a Condom

Paul Arden | Monday, 2 October 2017

It's been a week of false starts for me, I have a problem with one of my outboards which has been a total PITA. It's only three months old so this has taken me by complete surprise (in my innocence I expected 5 trouble-free years of running). Anyway I'll take it back to town again tomorrow so they can take it apart again. Fortunately I have a spare boat and engine ("The Ronan") so I'll be picking that one today (it's currently up the lake with a friend) - because, like everyone else, I really need to fish!!!

I'm actually trying to get really organised this month; test-driving a houseboat that I've had my eye on for the past 8 months, organising The Sexyloops Wedding, as well as pushing Sexyloops up a few notches. The plan is to really get settled into Malaysia so I feel less like a ping pong ball. One of the great things about Malaysia is that there is good fishing to be had all year round but with the Wet Season fast approaching (it's raining almost daily now) I need to move my life forward too and find better shelter.

I imagine sitting under the cover of a houseboat, whilst watching the weather (lightning storms and torrential rain), will be rather pleasant and not unlike how Gary spends his time in Florida... and heading out for a few wet hours of Jungle Perch fishing, followed by a Hot Shower might in fact be one of life's greatest pleasures - I don't know yet and am only guessing, but it sounds plausible enough to me.

Sitting in a condom without a view, while the rain beats a heavy metal drum solo above your head, with the elements dribbling in and making my bed wet, doesn't sound quite as much fun. Actually it was fun at first, but obviously too much of a good thing becomes old and crappy and now ready for the luxury of a regular hot shower and a dry bed.

That's pretty much the summation of my past week; planning, carrying outboards up and down bloody steps, getting wet. Over in the Hot Torpedo Owners' Club I'm giving every new competition entry a unique Stealth Master Shirt. If you are the lucky owner of an HT rod then please enter and claim your shirt (email your entries to me paul@sexyloops.com ). Unless you're on FaceBook you'll have missed a few posts here -

Soon I plan to update the layout of the Front Page to keep you more directly informed on these and other member events!

And now for even more exciting developments: because the APP is going to cost 5000 GBP to upgrade, I've decided to upload all the APP videos to Sexyloops. This will be the beginning of yet another immense section on Sexyloops; three hours of video content, lesson plans and more structured written teaching with links to previous content as well as to the Board where you can ask for help. It will also tie up very nicely with another long-planned project that I'm working on.

This section will be launched next week with the first set of videos. If you're not a great caster, and would like to become one, then you are most certainly in the right place!

Have a fantastic week and I look forward to your competition entries.

Cheers, Paul
