Obsessed?

We are driving to Sweden with Satu. We will have last mini holiday weekend before season really hits and then it is only work filled with other work. To do this kind of life and work you have to have little bit out of your mind, especially when you enjoyed like I do.

As this been said it's funny. I have started to understand Grinch totally. I hate people more and more and that's probably reason I only have friends which can be easily counted with your fingers, I would say one hand is enough.

I have always found peace from waters. And when I found flyfishing it went one step further. It is different kind of peace of mind. It is interesting, some called it hobby and some as obsession.

Why we go to Sweden? We will visit our friends, this time stay in hotel. I was told that I might get lucky. I don't know what that means yet it sounds nice. We have some things to do in Rovaniemi when passing city. To stay in touristic hell in two nights, no way. Satu checked hotel room price, cheapest was 700e/night in really basic room. Is there anything to do, for us no. 

People often ask from Satu where we go to have holiday. Satu always says that if there is good fishing it can be holiday destination for us, as I don't go anywhere if there is no fishing. That's pretty much true also. 

So why we go Sweden now and city holiday. Three words; snooker, food, friends and maybe some drinks. I used to be pretty good on pool more than 20 years ago and I grew up watching my dad playing game called kaisa, which is billiard game.

I have always loved to watch snooker as you can try to see hits and how players think. Last year I got chance to play it first time. And it really took me. You can attack or play safe and you need to choose wisely when it is time to attack. Sometimes opportunity takes over and you get too confident, you attack and fail badly.

It is just like fishing for spooky rising fish. You have to find your spot and choose your moment wisely, either it is win or bad failure. Sometimes just sometimes it is as in snooker, good miss. That takes white ball in position where your opponent has difficulties to continue. As in fishing sometimes you get good miss, spooky fish didn't for some reason care about shitty presentation and you get second chance later, that you need choose wisely, it will be your last one.

Obsessed? Anyone can drive few hundred kilometers or fly few or more  hours to go fishing. Would you drive 6 hours and 500 km to play snooker? Well I will and in fact twice in past two weeks. It will be great time with friends and Satu. After this weekend it is time start plan casting sessions, probably it will go in January to be honest. Just jumping from another obsession to other.
