Facebook reminded me about things what happened 10 yrs ago. One was that Paul and Ashly visited us after their Varzina trip. Time truly flies. We met in Russian border as some of you might know. Paul amd Ashly were slightly having problems with crossing border.
Funny how life throws things to you. So I helped them out that they could go Varzina for fishing and I picked them up week later. It is about 650 km drive one way. So drop them 1300 km and pick up 1300 km, just walk in the park. Afterwards Paul came nickname to me, some will say it with laugh, some won't make difference.... on that point I think my help meant world to them and it is earned nickname.
They say that you can't buy love, what you really can't buy is reputation and nickname. Either in good or bad those are always earned. I got new nickname last week in Sweden, that one is earned even it is more like translation from my last name. The guy who gave nickname doesn't know my last name so it couldn't effect it. Owners in camping place call me now as Fin-lapp. That one I got probably as I spoke with husband about reindeer as he is also working with reindeer and he is Swedish lapp, some would call him Sami person. So next morning he said that I'm Finn lapp. I'll take it.
As said nickname and reputation has to be earned in good or bad. I had busy week so far after coming back from Sweden. We had two sunny and dry days so that was window to make second cut and round of silage. And Thursday I had guiding and after that some hay making. Now we have what silage for winter time and I can concentrate things which have been undone so far, like fixing hen house hatch etc.
Friday I have guiding and hopefully during weekend some fishing. There are some bookings coming on September which I consider one of the best months for dry fly fishing for grayling. Truly amazing days coming ahead on September, small blinking green that I could even have one long weekend in Sweden for fishing.
Things are truly happening at the moment.
